I got my T61 about 1 week ago and did a clean install of vista. Now I have no option to sleep or hibernate my laptop. The fn-f12 button doesn't work (the other fn buttons do work). The options are there, they are just grayed out and I can't select them.

I have vista home basic. Any ideas why I can't hibernate...does vista home basic not allow it? any help would be appreciated

Run command prompt as admin, and then "powercfg -h on" w/o the quotes should fix it, make sure you have enough hd space left to the amount of your RAM
