Use the Factory Restore OS Disks that you should have gotten with your computer. ;)

The Factory restore option upon startup will do it.

Bit of stretch don't you think? You can use DBAN if you want to properly erase everything.

not a bit of a stretch at all.... had issues from day 1, i gave support team a chance to fix them, and still didnt work. And then their customer service was just as bad telling them i wanted to return it. I will point out i bought an IBM because i had one before that was great. But this one is awful, and the customer service is a disgrace.

To permanently remove your data so it cannot be recovered even with forensic tools, use:

    http://www.dban.org/

Reload the factory default OS using the factory restore disks.

Using the restore disks alone means that some or all of your data could be recovered by anyone with the time and inclination.

You'd rather pay the re-stocking fee than try to fix it after four days? What was wrong with this suggestion?
