    HI

I got my new R61 3 days back  and suddenly my speakers stopped working  . Though if I plug in external speakers/headphone I can hear but internal speakers are not working. I have checked all drivers and softwares but no use. Does anyone have any idea what can be the problem. Is there some checkbox somewhere which disables sound in internal speakers.

    Thanks
    Lalit

Well I guess no one has suggestions because it seems to be hardware failure.

I called IBM support team and they asked me to send my box back to them and they will fix the problem. It has just been 5 days since I got my laptop. I am not very sure if this problem was existing right from the beginning because I didnt check it when it arrived. Its depressing to send it back after like waiting for 20 days.
I am sure some of you might have faced similar problems.. What would you suggest me to do? I cant return it because I desperately need a Laptop. And I cant wait for another 20 days if I cancel this order and order a new one either from Lenovo or some other vendor.

You're still under warranty. If now's not a good time, perhaps getting it fixed at a later date might work better.
