I need advice please from someone who knows the Lenova 3000 N100. My computer battery died after about 9 months of use (original battery) but worked while plugged in. Now the computer will come on and work for a short period of time if I unplug the power source at the computer and plug it back in before I turn it on. If I do not unplug it prior, it doesn't make it through the initial start-up. If I let it sit more than 3 or 4 minutes idle, the computer cuts itself off. Could this be a problem with the power cord or the dead battery. (Again, computer is used only plugged in)

    Thanks for your help.....c

    Try it without the battery.
