I recently got my Z61t w/ fingerprint scanner. I wanted to setup the scanner, and have done so can can log on fine with it. I've got the password manager going and that's pretty nice (which btw didn't pop up and asking to save the password for notebookreview forums...still need to figure out manual entry). If I want to setup a guest user, can that be done? I'd like to have a different login for when a friend comes over and wants to use the computer. I don't need them having access to all the webpages I go to. I'm currently having client security manage the login process, not the default windows page. Ideally, I don't want the guest user to need to use the fingerprint scanner. Thanks.

Any help out there? Basically I want to have a guest user who can't see files and change settings. I guess one way would be to use my right hand fingers for myself, and have left hand fingers as the guest user. That's a bit odd. I tried checking out stuff on lenovo's site but no luck.

Create a guest account in Control panel / User accounts. Don't register any fingerprints for it & just give your friend a password to log in with. When setting up the account don't give it any permissions. You might need to enable fast useer switching as well. Beaware that every user account eats hard drive space.

    Good Luck Tony
