My t61 4965agn is constantly reconnecting. Sometimes as often as every 5 seconds. The picture attached shows the system event that is created each time it reconnects. My signal strengh is always between Very Good and Excellent, so I don't believe that's the issue.

N was enabled. I disabled it to see if it would have any impact. For power management I set it to maximum performance to see if that would help.

I'm using the Intel driver that Architekt suggested in his wonderful guide.

I'm using windows wireless for management. Zero config I believe it's called.

Any suggestions? Could it be driver related? A setting? Or do I need to RMA through Lenovo?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

If you are using Windows zero connect, have you uninstalled Thinkvantage Access Connections? (and you must uninstall it...). I am using the stock Lenovo driver, and I have had no problems. I am not sure which driver Ark is recommending. Are you using AES WPA encryption, or no encryption at all? Those are the only settings that will work. What kind of router are you using? Have you disabled 'Windows can turn this device off to save power" checkbox in device manager - network adapter - properties - power management?

Thanks for the reply bsodder. I did a fresh install. I installed access connections I believe just to manage bluetooth connections, but wifi is not a choice. The reconnects have happened on at least 2 different routers. Both running "G". One is WEP and one is no encryption at all. I will check the power management.

what channel is your router broadcasting the signal on? try changing it.
