I have a T500 and have noted down the Type, Serial number and product id, but where is the model number? Thanks.

Flip the system over and it should be on one of the stickers.

I did that and I don't see any model number. Just Type, S/N and Product ID.

The reason I am asking is I went to the user guides section on Lenovo's support site Here and it asks for a model number. I am curios where this info is. I even ran PC doctor and it did not extract a model number.

Sorry... Your Type should be in the format: XXXX-XXX or similar So the last 3 is the model.

your product ID _is_ your model number.

    E.g., 1234CTO

means model 1234 custom to order (i.e. 1234-CTO)

Thanks guys. I think Aikimox is right, the last 3 characters of the type is the model number, at least according to Lenovo's support site that I linked above.

You're welcome and glad it did work as I was relying on the old IBM model, but guess Lenovo haven't change it.
