    Help Updating my integrated graphic x3100 on my T61.

    I have a T61,
    Ive already downloaded the Chipste ID:

    Intel(R) GM965 Express Chipset
    Intel(R) 965GM Graphics And Memory Controller Hub(GMCH)

    When I go to this link,

    I download the .
    Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Windows* XP Ver. 14.34.4.4964

    I double click, it extracts all the way, anmd then a message shows:

    The driver being installed is not validated for this computer.

    my current driver version is 6.14.10.4926





    I will now try with the zip file rather than the exe file.

    Uninstall your previous driver first. This is usually essential for any video card driver you might update later.

    I downloaded the ZIP file, and I manually:

    6. Select the following option: "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
    7. Click on the "Have Disk..." button and then the "Browse" button.
    8. Enter the directory where you unzipped the file you downloaded, and then enter the "Graphics" subdirectory. Locate and highlight the
    "igdlh.INF". Click on the "Open" button.

    selected, however it was not the igdlh.INF, it was the igxpmp32.inf.

    Now in the driver properties shows:

    27/06/2008
    6.14.10.4964

    do you think this would be enough, or would be better to uninstall and then install the exe file.?
