I don't know if anyone can help me but I know many are very knowledgable. I am trying to upgrade to a alrger HDD on my T400 running Vista Business 32bit. My old disk still has the two Lenovo partitions - Preboot and Recovery - I don't use these at all. I also have a system partition and several data partitions.

I image with ShadowProtect Desktop which does well but when I try to image all partitions to the new disk, my drive letters for the preboot get changed so that it is no longer letter "S" as it needs to be for this system to work. Cannot change it through Vista because it sees it as a system Active parititon. Therefore all my other drive letters cannot be changed as I need to either.

Would I lose anything if I no longer try to restore the Lenovo partitions but just my system partition (making it Active) and my data partitions? Do you think the system would boot and Iwould I suffer any ill effects? I just did not want to have to reinstall everything again. Anyway, thanks much for your help.
