    hey,

Yesteday when i got home, i've conneted my AC adapter to my Lap top (IBM ThinkPad R50e) and for 1 second it was chraging, and the next second- my lap didn't wanted to be charged anymore! it showed me: connected, second later: running on battery. like it's not connect to the charger!
I tryied several electricity plugs, i reset my computer, and nothing helped!
I tryied to use another charger (of a friend with the same laptop) and it charged!
    What should i do?
a new charge cost 60$ or more in my country, and it's a lot for me.
    Can i fix it?
    p.s.
    my warranty is over.

    Thanks alot, Shaked.

Before you buy a new charger, check the mains power cable for the charger (borrow your friend's cable). If it has a UK-type 3-pin plug, check the fuse. There may also be a fuse inside the PSU but you will need to get it open to find out. Is a warranty replacement an option?

Also look around for other compatible chargers which have the same output voltage and current rating and the same plug to go into the computer.
