I use my laptop in a warehouse the structure of which reduces reception and causes frequent dropping. Is there an antenna, enhancer, amplifier or some such device I can buy to enhance reception? (I am a novice, obviously)

I assume walking outside to use the wireless is not an option. Because that would obviously fix your issue.

I also am not sure if an external antenna would do you much good. Generally the best ones are directional, but they are hardly an option when using a mobile device in a warehouse.
