    Hello.
I am student who reads a lot on my laptop - but I use it mostly at home.
I want to buy this screen:

    http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productlisting.aspx?c=us&category_id=6761&cs=19&l=en

Before doing so it suddently poped in to my head that my Nvidia Graphics card (Geforce go 7300 128M) might not support it.
Is that really the case ???

If so, then that makes me wonder:
My Graphics card allows up to 1280X800.
Does this mean this is as much as I will get (and therefor should look for a screen that has UP TO this resolution (because more then that will be a waste???) ) ) ???

What I am trying to figure is who makes the call - the screen reselution or the Graphics-card reselution ???

Your link didn't point to a specific monitor, but the 7300 should support most resolutions (including those ones much higher than 1280*800).
