    Hello,

Am trying to find out the maximum 'allowable' RAM for the new Ideapads - 300, 300S, 500 and 500S.

Some suggest 8GB for S models and 16GB for regular (for 6th gen CPU). Some say 16GB for all. Am highly confused.

Even though manufacturers might claim that 8GB is max allowed, many times systems can support upto 16GB.

    Please help!

    Need to order soon.

    Thank you for your assistance.

This unit has i5-6200U which can take upto 32GB. Since the unit has space for only 1 DIMM, I'm thinking that it should be upgradeable to 16GB.

Guess no-one has gotten this machine yet.
