    Hi all,

I just got the X220 for school and its on the way. Was wondering if there are any other audiophiles here who have it? How is the default sound? Is it worth it to purchase a sound card?

Any suggestions on a portable amp or sound card I can get that would go well with it?

I think the headphone out on the X220 is good especially with IEMs as there is little to no hiss. YMMV.

I'd suggest holding off buying anything until the X220 arrives and you've tried it out with your equipment.

Thanks for the help guys. I have a set of denon cans I plan to use with my x220. I'll find out tomorrow how the sound quality is.

you may find the X220's headphone jack a little too weak for the denon headphone, may need a headphone amp to get the best out of your headphone.
