This is a weird one. Recently my Thinkpad power plug stopped charging unless I rotated it at a certain angle. I just rotate it clockwise until I get the *beep* programmed in that tells me from ThinkVantage it's charging. Now I want to permenently fix this. Is this a power plug problem or a internal motherboard/mainboard problem? I'm really hoping it's the first one since it's relatively easy and cheap to replace. Thanks.

prolly the power plug. when you rotate it it makes connection with a wire break behind the connector.. try that forst before you go nuts on motherboard repairs as most thinkpads have a decent power connector

Yeah, sounds like a power plug. Just spice the sucker together!
