Been lurking a while - first post here!
I was looking at buying a R400 or T400 (for the LED screen, but that does not seem to be an option now due to parts shortage). Now the Canadian site is indicating a 3-4 week delay for an English keyboard on the R400! Does anybody know if Lenovo is a having a general logistics problem at present or do they tend to run down their parts inventory for year end?

I'm not sure if this is applicable to ordering a new laptop, but I just received an english keyboard from Lenovo two days ago through their T400 keyboard replacement program (for the original, crappy T400 keyboards), and I live in Toronto.

I do know that Lenovo is netorious with taking forever to ship a unit, but in my opinion the wait is worth it. (there cheaper than Dell's here!) -
Because they're shipping it from China or whatever, and they must be assembling pieces made in different places.

they are in keyboard shortage. it took well over a month and half for me to receive a keyboard replacement for T500. they informed me beforehand
Have Lenovo run out of keyboards now?
