hey. i ordered a lenovo...that exact one infact..from costcentral and i decided to cancel the order beacuse they ask you to send in photocopies of your credit card (front and back) and a state id. i thought this sounded fishy and i did not trust it so i went with buy.com which is a little more expensive but safer imo. people here on the forum have ordered from costcentral.com and had no problems so its your call

They have good ratings on Pricegrabber and are usually amongst the lowest in price.

I have purchased from hundreds of online retailers ranging from computer equipment, books, flowers, furniture, software etc., and have NEVER been asked to provide a photo copy of a credit card front and back. I would never provide that. I realize that in most online transactions you provide the cc# and security code, but at least you dont provide a signature and I always ensure that the website uses secure encryption. If they dont and simply ask for the info over the phone, I shop elsewhere.

Just got one from these guys no problem and they didn't ask for photocopies of my CC. Although the transaction did get flagged by the expert system at my bank as a potential fraud which was a bit of a hassle - perhaps they have been having problems with orders using stolen cards.

Relax, you are not responsible for credit card theft. If the retailer asks for a photo copy of your credit card, call your card provider and they will tell you what to do. Credit Card numbers are not like social security numbers.
