The configured system was dropped from my initial order and put on another one. I was told by customer service this was a "computer error". It sounds like a bogus excuse. The order date was pushed back from 08.18.10 to 09.29.10. The original order date was 07.30.10 meaning it will take two months to ship my system. Has this happened to anyone else.
How can I milk them for some sort of discount for this delay?

which country are you in? 2 months sound extreme.... also which system are you ordering?

I've never had my order pushed back that far.
I've ordered two Thinkpads and never had that happen. I've heard of a week or two (or sometimes a month) delay, but that does sound a bit extreme.
Has anyone had this happen with a Lenovo order?
