Has anyone done 1920x1200 on the Advanced Mini dock (via DVI) using a T61 with X3100 graphics?

I've been through these forums, searched Google, and even called Lenovo tech support without much success. My notebook order + 24' LCD is being processed tomorrow morning so I don't have much time to cancel. My deal breaker question is:

Has anyone here been able to ouptut 1920x1200 on the Advanced Mini dock (via DVI) using a T61 with X3100 graphics, under XP?

The only thing I've seen that provides some indication this is possible is the following link where some guy was doing 1920x1200 on his T61 with the X3100, but using Ubuntu. Thanks in advance, MUCH appreciated for any insight you can provide.

Yes, except with Advanced Dock and Dell 2407WFP-HC at 1920x1200 32 bit color. I assume the Mini Dock would perform graphics pass-through as well.

Cause they want better battery life which the Intel card provides. What are you going to do with a Porsche anyway? The speed limit is 70.

Exactly. I went with the X3100 since I read the NV140M can be a huge drain on battery. Some people say up to an hour of battery life is consumed by the discreet graphics.

Anyhow, as long as the X3100 will do DVI at 1920x1200 then I don't care much about the performance. I'm going to be using XP with Office applications... but yeah.. for the record I wouldn't use integrated on my desktop machine :)

I decided to get the intergrated graphics card too due to battery life issues.

So, what is the max resolution you were able to get with DVI and the X3100? I am seriously thinking of getting the advanced mini-dock so that I can use the DVI output.

Just posted this in another related thread:

With the advanced mini-dock and T61 w/ Intel X3100, I am able to 1920x1200 on my 24' monitor with DVI at work. No problems whatsoever. Just throw it on the dock and boot up the PC. I keep the notebook screen (1280x800) on as secondary display as a permanent "Outlook Calender/Contact" list when I'm docked.

Feel free to ask me any display related questions if you have any.
