    Harddisk active protection require a special hard?

    Can you tell me if i can replace the internal harddisk in a T42 with a biger one without loosing the active protection system? This system uses a special hardware or is only a software system?

    No you will not loose the active protection it's built into the motherboard.

    Mant thanks for your information eriqesque. now I know I can change my 30 Gb hdd with an 60 GB.

    Remains to read and check all info regarding changing the regional settings from Italian to English and try to make another recovery images for the English version.
