    Need help upgrading BIOS.
I downloaded the N100 BIOS update from the website (v3.01).
Extract it, then run winphlash according to readme.
When it's trying to flash the bios, suddenly there's a blue screen and my laptop restarts by itself. There's no damage to my laptop though. The BIOS version is still the same (v3.00).
Reformat windows, and do it again. But no luck.
I read on the internet that u can use the Phlash16 instead of WinPhlash. But I am too scared to accidentally 'kill' my laptop :confused2:

    can anyone help me?

I would suggest against upgrading to v.3.01. After I did upgrade, I had problem with sound, even after I reinstalled sound driver, there was still no left channel. I thought it was a hardware problem and sent it back for repair. And when I got it back, I found they only flashed the BIOS to an older version and the problem is fixed.

blackschiele : thanks for your reply. what type of HDA do u have? Mine is Realtek (where it should be soundmax from the website..weird).
I also have usb issue when I press the keyboard, all USB devices will disconnect. From other forum someone told me that he had experience this as well, but solved it after flashing the bios to v3.01.
I'm still searching for an answer wether it's safe to use Phlash16 instead of WinPhlash to flash my bios.

Mine is soundmax. I don't have any usb problems, before or after the bios update.
