I just bought the X200 Ultrabase for my X201. I installed a Seagate 640 2.5" HD via "ThinkPad Serial ATA Hard Drive Bay Adapter III (43N3412)" into the right side bay.

The Windows 7 device manager sees it under harddrive but I cant see it in my file manager.

    Any help would be amazing!
    Thanks!

    welcome to the forum!

it's possible the drive hasn't been initialized and formatted.   go to start > run > diskmgmt.msc.   find the drive in the list, right-click the drive, and create a new partition.   it will walk you through the process.

if you don't have the 'run' option enabled in your start menu, winkey + R will open it.
