I want to encrypt my hard drive with a password. Can someone give me a source on how to do it or step by step instructions. I have a Lenovo T61.

Are you looking for something like truecrypt? I've never used it, but always heard good things about it.

Try to reset and get into the BIOS by pressing the F1 key during the Lenovo screen. Look under security if you have that option. It should be right under or above power-on password.

Just enter nothing(blank) as new HDD password in BIOS.

EDIT: I think bananaman got the right answer on your other thread.

Nope, what you said was correct. I removed my passwords doing it your way.
