hi,
I got my X200 a few days ago but I feel it is kind of slow because the huge number of pre-installed software packages which most of,I don't need. So, I want to start from scrap and install only the stuff I really need.
my system came with a XP downgrade from Vista Bsuiness and with some recovery disks.
I understand that XP is not among the disks, but I have an old XP install disk so its no problem...
Also, It's important for me to format the system completely and not use one of the recovery discs that return the system to the state when it was shipped to me with the way too much software...
My problem is how will I be able to re-install all the system drivers- of the WiFi, Bluetooth, turbo memory etc... and also the important ThinkPad software like system update and so on...
Does one of the discs that came with the computer contain those drivers and software install files (And not part of a whole system install which I want to avoid, and just pick the ones I want installed...)
My old Dell came with a disc containing all the drivers of the system parts so I could install each one individually. Does this computer come with this as well??
I would be happy to receive any tips or help on how to format and then re-install XP from scrap and then installing all those drivers.
Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!!
