I just bought my labtop a month ago, as it is R51(2887A24), P4M 1.7, 1G RAM, 60G HD, 2 usb ports. when I plug my pen drive in, it says " if you plug it into a usb2.0 port, it can perform faster, and it is definitely much slower than my flatmate's usb 2.0. Is there anything wrong, I can't believe R51 still uses usb 1.1.

By the way, I installed XP my self, cos i don't like original installation. and there is no question mark or ! mark in my device manager.

    anyone can help me ?

I have used laptops that until USB 2 drivers were installed, the thing only worked in 1.1 mode. This includes my brothers Dell 5150. Look on ibm's site in the driver section to see if you find the correct drivers.

Its a driver problem. USB 1.1 hasn't existed on any computer for about 4-5 years now.
