This is Thinkpad R50 that I got from school that our school technicians couldn't fix, or said that it would cost them more to fix it than to buy a new one (complete nooobs... -___-) anyways, it was just a simple connection problem after all, I got a same model of internal display connector, pop screen out, replace, back in and voila. Now, I seem to have a software problem.

Whenever I boot it up in XP, soon (around 15 minutes) it gets bluescreen of death and shuts down, and boot up again, saying something like ATIdv2*** some drivers failed and if it is infinite loop or what#(*&#(*&$*(% (you know one of those bluescreens that pop up for like half a second so you can't even read what's on it...)

When I boot i up in safe mode, it works for hours and hours without crashing, occasional buzz from the screen when I shake it, but it works. but you know, really don't want to work in a safe mode. what should I do?

When that happened on my desktop, I just uninstalled whatever ATI driver I happened to have installed, and updated. If the BSOD still came, I just went backwards to a stable version.

    I'd suggest using Omega drivers.
