All of sudden today my left click button on my t61P starting acting strange, as if scroll lock was on. I didnt think too much about it because I was running A LOT on my machine at the time. I stepped away for about an hour and when I came back the left click button would not work. On the T61P there are two sets of left/right buttons, and the left click button would not work on either set. I tried the following:
1 - rebooted many times - didnt help
2 - Went to the mouse in the control panel and switched the primary and secondary buttons - didnt help
3 - Switched the primary/secondary buttons back - didnt help
4 - Blew away the driver and reinstalled it - didnt help
5 - Went back to Mouse under control panel and under Ultranav I set the touchpad for doubletapping for enter - The setting took but double tapping did not work
6 - I scanned my PC for viruses using Avira, Spybot, and SUPERantispyware. No viruses found
7 - Same issue even when running Vista in Safe Mode
There are a few isolated places where the left button works but for the most part it is just dead.
I have a mirrored hard drive that is about 4 months old (DAMMIT!) that I put in and the left click buttons work fine.
I am fresh out of ideas. Anybody have any thoughts? Id hate to have to rebuild this machine.
