    Greetings,

I have a Lenovo Y560 with the HD5730 and switchable graphics (Win 7 64 bit). I just bought a Samsung 40C650 LCD TV and tried to hook up my laptop through the HDMI. As is common, my video was immaculate but there was no audio output.

I deleted the Realtek drivers, installed the newest ones of the same. However, even before this driver reinstall the "HDMI" option in the sounds playback tab was not present and it's not present now. Show Disabled Devices has also been checked. No joy.

Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I keep reading about cases where the HDMI has randomly started functioning properly, but I'd really like some inputs on what I can do on my own end to get it working.

Guess I made the thread half an hour too early.

I gave admin privileges to the ATI hdmiaudio install file. Earlier, this installer had not detected any hardware. But after giving it the admin privileges, the HDMI finally started working.
