I have a 160GB 5400RPM Fujitsu SATA HDD in my ultrabay adapter for my T61p. The drive shows up in my device manager but it does not show up when I open my computer. Does anybody know how to make the ultrabay drive show up when I open my computer?

Has the HDD been initialized and formatted? If not, it won't show up under Windows Explorer.

Consider spying on the HDD's status using Disk Management snap-in of the Control Panel's Adminstrative Tools -- i.e. diskmgmt.msc

    What meekus said.

Right click on the task bar
    Select Properties
    Select the Start Menu tab
Make sure that Adminstrative tools show
In administrative Tools Select Computer Management
In Computer Management Select Disk Management
In Disk management you should see the disk
You may then partition and format the disk after which explorer will see it.
