I just got a spyder3 pro puck/software and I used it to calibrate the dell u2412m I just got as well. Did a good job. Then I tried in on my T400s. No matter the settings I choose.. it corrects the overly blueish tint.. by replacing it with a way too green tint. Anyone else had success calibrating these panels? unfortunately its only pro and not elite so I can't offer detailed reports. I am calibrating it with brightness set at 7/15.

I didn't know that about the brightness. For my dell, it said to reset it to factory specs and so it started off the calibration with brightness at 75 which is the factory default. Should I redo it with the brightness at 100? I turned it down to 30 during calibration when it asked me to adjust it.

I've used the windows color calibration before, or tried to at least. I can do it with the spider because it asks for very little input, but I'm color blind, and shades of red/green are really difficult for me to discern subtle differences in, that's why I was hoping the spyder would do it for me. The only reason I can tell it's green is because it's VERY green. The brushed aluminum theme on chrome looks like red/green rusted aluminum.. I'll try recalibrating the laptop monitor with brightness on 15/15. It asked if the built in monitor had brightness controls but by default it had "native" checked instead of "yes" or "no". If that means anything.
