I had this issue back in July and then it went away and now it's happened twice in the past few days. My whole screen turns green with thin vertical stripes -- it looks like pinstriped green-yellow wallpaper filling the entire screen, nothing else, no windows, nothing. I shut down, restart, all is fine. I recently extended my warranty so if it's a video card meltdown or something I'm covered, but I'd love to know if anyone has any clue as to what this might be.
Thanks in advance.
I'm running a T400 with XP/SP3.

probably more like a problem with the LCD. Does this problem occur on external LCD?
This should be covered under warranty (you are lucky to have extended it). -
Does this ever happen when pre-Windows, ie in the BIOS? Also, if you have an external monitor plugged in, does this issue occur in the external monitor as well?

At this point it's too infrequent and unpredictable to check with an external LCD as I never use one in normal course of things. Is there a way to diagnose the screen? Some type of diagnostic tool?

not really...
