I bought a broke laptop to repair and use as my own (Lenovo Thinkpad SL510 2847-CZU ) The screen was crack so I bought a higher resolution screen (Part# 42T0676) which is compatible in the manual but when I install it the color is green as it hits desktop it's light blue fainted. I think it's the ribbon because one side of it looks chipped. I also tried the old crack screen and the colors was black and white no pictures obviously just color..

Have you tried hooking it up to an external monitor? Obviously it is hardware-related as your pre-desktop/OS environment is affected.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Only way to troubleshoot the problem would be to replace a part. Likely it is the screen, you can try the cable first though as it is a cheaper part. If you replace the cable and it fixes the issue, voila. If not, replace the LCD.
