    Hi all,

today I placed the order for T43p-2668G3U via my school bookstore.
    Brief spec:
    CPU: Pentium M 770 2.13
    HDD: 60 GB-7200 rpm
    Memory: 1 GB
    Screen: 14.1" (1400*1050)
    Optical storage: DVD-ROM/CDRW
Video Card: ATI Mobility Fire GL V3200 - 128MB
    3YR Warranty
    ===> $2231 ---UNBELIEVALBE
    3YR Protection Service Pack - $131.95

    Total Price: 2362.95+TAX

Actually, I have tried to buy T43 on the web, but I have not been satisfied. When I contacted IBM customer service, they advised I'd better buy IBM series on our bookstore. If you are student, first contact your school resources.
    [ :D][ :D]

    Dr Chill?

Is there a way to get the employee price without actually knowing or being an employee?

    admire your mainboard only,
Believe or not, here we have someone assembly the top thinkpad loptops by himself.
what we having is T40-T42p and T42-semiT43p (T43 board and QXGA srceen),R50-R50P(t42p mainboard and 15"UXGA£©

    T43x :pentium-M 770 2.13GHz, 1024MB, 60GB(7K60), 15 QXGA(IPS), ATI Radeon X300, 24X COMBO, 802.11a/b/g, BMDC3

We have a webstation of more than 70000 memembers, though lot of them still use T22, T23 even 600E 600x, these people love IBM so much and they do the miracle I don't think you can do.

Here, upgrading the CPU, fan and screen is piece of cake, the greatest thing is these guys bourght completed thinkpad parts from the cover to the plate, from the CPU to the mailboard, totally diy it themselves!

We don't have the warranty or lost the warranty, but a lot of fun is there, we are thinkpad fans.
