I didn't upgrade the graphics card in my T520 because I don't do alot of graphic intensive stuff. But I forgot my husband was wanting to play with google earth. I wasn't real impressed with the result (though I've never used it before and may just be expecting too much). Would a better graphics card make much difference? If so how difficult is that to do after the fact? I did download DirectX9.

The Intel HD3000 isn't that bad when it comes to Google Earth, as it is rated for entry CAD work, so it can handle some GPU acceleration. -

I have no issues with Google Earth's graphics performance using the Intel GPU (and several previous generations of it) but I do notice that GE is one way to give the fan some exercise.
Google Earth also needs a fast internet connection to download the imagery (although it will cache data if an area has already been visited).
