So I got my T520 yesterday and am very happy with it so far, granted I haven't had THAT much time to really play with it. My config is the i7 quad core 2.4 ghz, the 160 intel ssd, i upgraded the ram before I even turned it on for the first time to 8 gig of Kingston Hyper X, the 1900x1080 resolution screen (looks gorgeous!)..Anyways, I am in the process of uninstalling the bloatware and cleaning up the ssd, right out of the box it only had about 85 gig free out of the original 160...I am still debating whether or not I want to do a fresh install of Windows 7 or just continue uninstalling everything and trying to clean it up myself....How much of a headache is it really to do a clean install and how much of an overall performance increase would I really achieve?

I'd still do a clean install to free up as much space as possible but the resulting overall performance increase wouldn't be significant given your impressive specs IMHO.

It depends on how pick you are. I'm pretty picky, so it takes me a while. This is why True Image is so great. I guess I'd say do the bloatware removal and see how it goes. You can always do a clean install later if you want.

I found a program called Revo Uninstaller I am going to give a shot to remove everything I don't think I need, I am a little nervous about the clean install, I don't want something to "not work" afterwards because of some bs driver issue. I have a 750 gig WD Scorpio black on its way to me which I plan on throwing into a caddy and putting in the Ultrabay for extra storage...

Mine is on its way.
What are some of the first pieces of bloatware I should delete to gain SSD space? I am a compete newb at this so use little words.
Got my T520 yesterday and was wondering...
