Im based in the UK and it seems the only genuine x201 4 cell batteries are from the United States- unless I consider non-genuine batteries. I did purchase a 6 cell one of these (Im fairly certain its fake- from China) for my x201 and I haven't had too bad an experience if I am honest.

Has anyone else bought non-genuine batteries, or maybe they know somewhere in Europe I could purchase genuine ones from?

    EDIT

Hope I dont break any forum rules, but what about this place:

I think the battery you linked is the tablet battery if I recall correctly and I may not. I've had good luck with eBay and getting better prices there, though it's not perfect. When buying on eBay, you can still get a genuine battery, but have to wonder how long it's been sitting and batteries start to degrade as soon as they're made.

I looked on ebay first and it was either a £30 non-Lenovo or a £100 Lenovo battery, shipping from the states- so add another £18 and then £15 for delivery = £133!

I also looked on the Lenovo UK website- when I entered "x201" and then my machine type it said there were no battery parts available for this machine? Do you get the same?

    I selected "x201" and "3249"

Just from a quick look, it seems like you can get a genuine six-cell a lot cheaper. They probably didn't make near as many of the four-cells, which probably explains their higher cost, due to scarcity.

Finding 4-cell batteries on eBay is a bit tricky due to the keywords used in the titles. Nearly all the batteries listed for the X200/X201 are 6-cell. The 4-cell batteries are much more scarce, as ZaZ mentioned.
If you are OK with non-genuine, this appears to be an actual 4-cell battery (i.e., slim) for a good price:

I'm planning on buying that one for myself due to my OEM 4-cell battery being at the end of its life (201 cycles).
