    This laptop would be the "other" laptop. Waiting for the Y470 as the "main" laptop.

    Not really you can get them new cheaper than that @ store with coupon... About $500 shipped.

    they are on a discount, as these Edge 14 machines are replaced by newer models. For that price, i would get a T400 instead.

    Anyone know about battery life or heat with the AMD models. I can't seem to find anything about it as all of the reviews are done with the Intel. The only reason I ask is because I have been offered one of these in exchange for my dead x100e.

    One user posted thoughts on his AMD Edge 13, and heat doesn't appear to be too big of an issue. There does seem to be a lack of AMD Edge 14 reviews, though. One thing to is that the Edge 14 is significantly larger than the X100e, so perhaps you can convince them to send you a X120e as a replacement?
