    I bought 2gb of additional ram. Anyhow, when I went to install it, I couldnt figure out how, by just looking at my T400. Some searches yielded no assistance in adding the ram. Then I found this on the Lenovo site. It is a great resource and seems to have some interesting information:

    The manual that came with my t400 had the diagrams for swapping memory and hard drive. But that doc has a much more detail. Nice find!

    The instruction book with my T400 was in the original packing box, already up in the garage rafters.....and it was late at night so I had to find something that would tell me how to add/change ram.... :)

    Yes, there is lots of interesting stuff in this guide.

    Lenovo is very good with this. If you want, there are like a million support videos at http://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/ion/. While they haven’t updated it for the T400 yet, much of what is on similar models applies.
