I am looking for a good dual layer DVD burner to pop into my T61, and am not finding much. The only ones I have found have either been on Lenovo's accessories website for $160 or on eBay for about $150.
Can anyone recommend any other places to purchase one?
Also, one with lightscribe would be nice as well but I'm assuming those would be even more difficult to find.

There are very few makers of 9.5mm drives since it is such a small market. Most laptop drives aren't that great either. I would suggest if you want a good burner get an external desktop drive which will offer better speed and superior burn quality.

Yeah, if I go that route I'm considering this one http://3btech.net/picoexusb201.html
I just hate having more cables and boxes on my desk than I already do.
Would a USB 2.0 drive like the one shown be good enough? I dont care about speed so much, I rarely burn DVDs, but I have a few DVD DL discs I gotta burn here pretty soon to get some work done. Reliability and a good burn is most important, so would an external USB 2.0 drive deliver this? If so, I'll buy that one and save $100.

Forget it, I ordered an external firewire enclosure and LiteOn lightscribe burner from Newegg. Cheaper and better than other solutions I could find.
