First I have heard that they use 2 screen manufacturers Samsung and LG does any one know which is better (I am getting the WSXGA+)

Second I want a drive that reads and writes CDs and DVDs which one of these does that?

CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo 24X/24X/24X/8X Max, Ultrabay Slim

DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim

    1) The general consensus is that the LG panel is better.
    2) You'd want the "DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer" drive.
    3) Don't know, sorry.

USB Wireless Personal Area Network is wireless USB. It's like bluetooth.

It's pretty new stuff and I wouldn't get it unless you have a device that uses wireless USB... which is unlikely.

This comparison between calibrated LG and Samsung panels concluded that the differences are minuscule. Besides, you can't specify which panel to be used in your build, so why does it matter?

Wireless USB is the next generation personal area network (PAN). It aims to displace Bluetooth. There are barely any devices that support WUSB on the market at this time.

From all I've heard, LG is better.
USB Wireless Personal Area Network.....hmmm.....could be some sort of USB drivce Lenovo provides with network settings on it to set up a network with several computers, maybe.

WUSB is pretty much so you devices that support WUSB are plugged into a hub...so let's say you walk into a room w/ your WUSB stuff (a printer for example) and your computer will automatically detect it without the need to plug in a USB cable. that's my understanding of it.

I have a Samsung panel in my T61p...with a little Digital Vibrance from the Nvidia control panel, I'm happy with the screen quality, although it must be said there's some backlight leakage at the bottom of the screen, although in practice, I don't notice it much.

As was stated, Wireless USB's pretty new. Can't think of offhand anything that uses it, but if it would have been available when I ordered mine, I would have had it put in, just because.
