I need a replacement battery for the model mentioned in the topic, Its model number is 2511 and I have found alot of batteries on ebay.co.uk like New Battery for IBM ThinkPad R60 T60 Z60 Z61 7200mAh UK on eBay (end time 02-Feb-11 11:03:01 GMT) but will this fit? And how unrecomendable is it to buy 3. party batteries for Thinkpads?
They seem pretty cheap gennerally so this would be a cheap solution reviving a old sturdy laptop.

If they say it will fit, it probably. Third party batteries in my experience tend to not last as long and wear more quickly. I wouldn't buy three just cause if something were to happen to the machine I'd be stuck with two extra batteries and they'll probably be the same price if you need another one.

Btw is there any difference between batteries for Z60 Z60M and Z60T ? -
If you live in the States you might want to check out BatteryRefill.com. They uh, refill your battery. They claim to make it better than new. I've never used them, but I've heard them mentioned on the engadget mobile podcast, so I would hope that means they are legit.

I live in Denmark @ Europe, so ebay.co.uk seems like the cheapes place to get one. But is there difference for batteries between Z60, Z60t and Z60m ? I cant find any info about the difference between these laptops but I would recon batteries is the same thing.
