I'm trying to get a back-up charger for my ThinkPad T500. The model number is 42T5274 and is 90W and 20V.
I tried looking for some adapters on Amazon, but all the chargers have abysmal reviews, because all the wires get worn down or something.
Mine works perfectly after two years, so I tried looking my specific model number up on different sites, but without any luck. With the ominous reviews in mind, I don't want to just pull the trigger on a random adapter that seems to fit the profile.
Can anyone clarify this awful reputation? I don't expect to find the adapter in any shops in my country, and IBM/Lenovo's own prices are completely ridiculous.

I live in Europe.
It's more about finding a model that I know is good considering all the negative reviews of ThinkPad chargers on Amazon. -
