I just order a T43 with 512 MB PC2-4200 Ram with one slolt open. Can I put a 1 GB module in with the 512 or do the memory modules have to match in size?
Thanks.

Yes you can get a 1 GB module. I don't even think the T43 supports dual channel, though I can be wrong. If it is dual channel, then it would be to your benefit to put in another 512 MB (for cost reasons), though putting in 1GB is probably still faster, I think.

Thanks for the response. I found a site that supposedly sells IBM spec'ed memory for the T43 2668 and the 1GB sells for $128, while the 512MB sells for $125, I'd say they are trying to sell lots of 1GB modules!

Yeah, notebook memory is non-parity, you don't have to match size. Also price that against Crucial.

Which site sells the IGB memroy?
