So I receive my new T400 the other day and I am very impressed with it -- performance and build quality especially.

However, I unfortunately received a Samsung screen, and I'm not going to whine on and on about it but, the viewing angles are just unacceptable for me and the colors have this weird greenish/bluish tint even after trying a number of color calibration techniques.

I was wondering if anyone has any recent success stories with having Lenovo replace their T400 screen with an LG? I'll be calling them tomorrow morning, but I was just wondering what I could expect.

I searched the forum and found that a few people had successfully gotten Lenovo to replace their Samsung with an LG. I'm hoping its just a matter of getting an understanding rep on the phone...

I don't think your viewing angles will improve, even with the LG screen. The off-color-ness may be slightly better though.

It's a case-by-case thing, so if you're lucky, and if you exercise good persuasion skills, they may replace your screen.

I think the high-nit option is a fair bit better in terms of viewing angles and contrast. However, getting them to switch it may be a challenge. Additionally, your resolution would drop to 1280x800.
