    With the ATI chips:

What sort of games can the T500 play vs the T400?

I am having trouble relating the 3dmark scores. They are just numbers to me.

The two systems have different screen resolutions and different 3d cards.

What would be an example of a game that you can play on the T400 slowly but runs fine on T500? What game would you not want to play on T400 but the T500 could handle.

I'm thinking Red Alert 2? WOW? Spore? i.e. games you can not play on a console.

    I'm NOT thinking Crisis.

Yes I understand they are different sizes and size screens...

COD4 can be played on both laptop, but lower details and resolution on T400 as it has a mid-range graphic card. If gaming is more important than portability, go with the T500

I have a T500 with a P8600 + 3650ati card. I can run 1280x720 with quality setting to high (not highest) and I get very playable FPS.

FPS is usually between 50-20. It dips to 20 with a lot of smoke and heavy gun fights. I hope to decease those drops by more ram and possibly faster CPU.
