Well i just call and cancelled my order for my Z series. I am quite upset that I had to do it, but they left me no choice. I ordered Nov 10, with a estimated date at the 28th. 18 days is a LOONNNNNGG time to build a laptop, but oh well. I waited. the 28th rolls along. The estimated ship date gets changed to the 12th that day. Pissed again. I wait some more. Hey look fellas, whats today? Its the 12th. Guess what I see as an estimated ship date? the 28th again. This time december 28th. [edited by moderator] you lenovo. What can you say about a company that on its main page, there is a little side bar with a link to "How do I cancel my order?" It means they don't care about their customers one bit. They could care less if we cancel.
You know, I wouldnt have even really mind if they were straight forward with me about the ship time from the start. Even when they changed it the first time, they totally lied about the new time. And their reps havent a clue what is going on. They can tell you whatever they want, its the memory thats missing, oh wait no, its the cases. For all you guys know it could be the screw that holds the battery cover on. Bye lenovo.

I agree that it's pretty unfair of Lenovo to push your order back to much. Make sure you write them a letter or something about how you're going to take your business somewhere else because of their absurd wait times.
-
You guys should have order a T60, I got mine in 5 days...
-
Please keep the language down...I know feelings run high when someone messes you over, but please do us all a favor and tone it down just a little.
-
I think you meant to say they couldn't care less? Well...the impression I got is that they care very much, though maybe that's because I ordered on the telephone where there is a human who wants to collect a commission?
-
I ordered my T60 on 2nd of December, paid them in full amount. I've sent them two emails but so far not even one reply from them and the phone line is always busy. What kind of business is this? I worked so hard for $AU3,299.00 I am just feeling extremely painful. What have I done wrong to deserve this
-
tmelb, they charged your CC before shipping? Here in the states, they get an authorization to make sure that you have the funds, but don't actually charge you until the unit ships.
I also ordered on the phone and got excellent email support from my salesperson, although two days before my laptop shipped he advised me it would probably be another week before it went out. He also upgraded me to express shipping for free, so I got it 1 business day after they shipped it.
I did have to wait a little over three weeks for my T60 to arrive (it shipped on Friday, three weeks and a day after I ordered) I fully understand the frustration the OP is feeling regarding the Z series, though. They're having ridiculously long waits. -
Same with me, I try to source for a 14'1. E-mail them many times in Asia market but no reply. So got my HP dv6000t although its a 15'4 but I'm happy with it.

I ordered it online and after one day I got their email with their bank account number. So I just transferred my funds (from my savings account) directly to their account. I reckon it is still too early to say this thing but at least they can give me a reply or feedback, then I will be very happy.
I am sorry about my previous post. I was so excited at the begining and now I am getting frustrated! -

I have NEVER heard of a company doing business transactions like that on a small scale. Are you sure this was actually from Lenovo? Sounds almost like to went for some scam -
The order number in My Lenovo account is the same as the one I received from their email. I didn't look like a spam when I first received it.
Well, you guys make me feeling nervous! God! I hope it is not actually the case - SPAM -
Welcome to the cancellation club...I canceled my order after calling them 3 times and emailing them once. On my last call, they assured me that my ship date was on target...2 hrs later I got an email informing me that my new ship date had been pushed back another week. While their customer service had been polite each time I called, they obviously had no idea what was going on with the orders and seemed to only provide false hope and reassurance to the customer.
-
Well, I have to give them a call early tomorrow and let you know what is actually going on.

Stop buying direct from Lenovo. Buy from an authorized retailer. You may not get all the options you want but at least you will save on sales tax.
The guy who wired money to Lenovo, you got scammed. I don't see why Lenovo would take wire transfers.
Is your credit so bad that you can't get credit cards? -
Well, it doesn't look like to me that it is a scammed email. However, this part of their email:
Alternatively you can transfer funds to the nominated Lenovo Account via
Internet banking.
Account Name: Lenovo Australia & New Zealand P/L
BSB-Account number
Sorry if I am allowed to put the above stuff in this post.
I don't have a credit card, simply I don't want to be in debt or anything. This is my first order online and it is big one for me! -
-
Internet banking in Australia is actually becoming popular. You can use it to pay bills, transfer funds oversea and etc... but it is actually a troublesome!
-
Here is a link to Lenovo web site and how you can pay the order:

They actually had LOWER sales the last quarter because of supply issues, which they have claimed were worked out. Obviously, they weren't.
Gerry Smith is their global supply chain VP. Someone needs to find his email and ask for an explanation. -

I tried to give them a call early this morning and as usually I have to wait for around 2 - 5 minutes and a recording voice say I have been waiting too long so they are about to transfer me to the call center. The telephone at the other end at the call center just keep ringing and no one pick up the phone. Well, I sent them an email as well (I also used the email on their web site) but still no one answer or reply my email. What can I do now? wait for another week and then take further action? report to the police? check if the account they gave me was actually a fraud one?
Gosh, I didn't expect something like this. -
wow good luck man

There's a phone number here that might help
http://www.lenovoblogs.com/designmatters/?p=97#comments (look at the second comment). He's in the US but he's the VP of global web marketing and he publicizes his cell phone number. -
