I have been using my Y580 (with the 6tx 660m gpu) since past 3 months and have faced this problem more or less from the beginning.

When I am doing my day to day moderate tasks like watching videos or surfing net etc. after a
random amount of time, my screen goes black for half a second (like the blink of an eye) and
after that my GPU goes missing from the system. It doesnt show any error message. It just
vanishes and only Intel Graphics card is active . Once I restart the laptop, everything is
    fine.

I came to detect this fault because I use speedfan to monitor temperatures. After the blink of
the screen, the GPU temp is shown as 0. And when I check other places where GPU should be
    shown, it isnt there.

I contacted lenovo support over chat and he made me replace the intel and nvidia drivers with the following files
    0pvh07ww.exe
    0pvl13ww.exe
    But still the problem persists.

Please help me resolve this issue. I am out of US, so cannot make use of the warranty service.

    :-(

P.S. Also i got BSOD 3-4 times since the purchse.
