    Hi all,
    I finally get my X301 with 128SSD drive :D my ever first thinkpad!! and i love its keyboard! i have a question regarding to how to use the gps on X301
    so i run the ThinkVantage GPS program and it pick up all the Satillite signals but how do i use the navigation like a mobile phone gps navigation ? any map will work or just specific one (i want to use the turn by turn navigation)

    oh..mine come with verizon card therefore it has gps receiver and i just download the Microsoft Streets and trips 2010 (60 days trial but will ask my friend to get it for dirt cheap price :) - she is one of the manager at microsoft)

    You could get Garmin PC.

    The only worthwhile app I found for GPS on the computer was Google Earth. Mainly because you can't really do that on a handheld navigation device, or a phone for that matter. It's not great with live navigation, though and also requires a data connection, which sorta defeats the purpose of GPS at least if you got no WWAN (which you seem to have actually).

    Garmin PC havent update its mobile pc GPS for ages plus there's no live traffic option like microsoft and i dont get a discount. With MS i can have it for really cheap. i got Windows 7 Ultimate for 49$ (Full Version) so hopefully this ST will cost around 10$?
    i will compare this with iGO8 and TOMTOM on my HD2 :)

    So use Google earth. it's free now and it connects to a GPS.
