    My T43 boots up in about 22 seconds.. but no startup entries, and i keep it pristine, my W700 boots in about 1 minute, i find this hilarious and ironic, delete or close this thread if you must, but i just found it to be kinda funny.

    A clean xp installation boots up ridiculously quick even on a Pentium M.

    Windows 7 on both machines, 80GB 5400 on the T43, 320GB 5400 in the W700.

    starting up new window installation requires very little cpu power or ram, they are more related to how fast the hdd transfer speed is.

    That much is true. I'm currently running an Ubuntu/XP dual boot, and XP is quite fast. So much so that I ditched windows 7. :rolleyes:
