Looks like Fujitsu may be acquired by Lenovo. This is good news for Lenovo notebook fans because Fujitsu always had screensizes with really good weight configurations although the specs were often outdated and the model wasn't as widely available. The combination of patents and engineering features seem like it will make Lenovo even better if they integrate some of the really nice features of the Fujitsu to the next Thinkpad models.

I wasn't aware of this but there's some speculation about it.
The only real draw of fujitsu is that it's still manufactures some laptops in Japan. Otherwise, Fujitsu laptops are really unremarkable.

Fujitsu often had larger screensizes that were the lightest weight and had decent performance and reliability.

Imagine if Lenovo actually acquired Packard Bell instead of Acer having acquiring them? While Lenovo is #4 PC Maker in the world, it is best of breed for its notebooks in the upper tier. Packard Bell was always low quality.

It always works out where Lenovo is smaller but always has the superior products and the best combination of R+D.

Eliminating Fujitsu is no net loss for customers but rather a net gain for Lenovo notebook owners for future models.
